How to Prepare for HackWithInfy?

ABOUT

Hackwithinfy is a coding competition for engineering students graduating in the year 2023, 2024 and 2025 across India. The top performers also earn a chance to work with Infosys.

ELIGIBILITY

Registration for HackWithInfy is open to B.E./B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech students graduating in 2023, 2024, or 2025

EXAM PATTERN

HackWithInfy will be conducted in two rounds:

Round 1: March 6, 7, and 8, 2022

An online individual participation round on Infosys Assessment Platform.

Final round (virtual Grand Finale): July 1 - July 4, 2022

The 48-hour hackathon among teams and the Grand Finale hosted on Infosys Meridian.

The top 100 participants from Round 1 will compete in the four-day grand finale in July 2022. The finalists will also get an opportunity for a pre-placement interview and internships for the niche technical roles at Infosys.

Round 1 is a coding round that will consist of three coding questions to be solved in three hours.

EXAM SYLLABUS

The syllabus for Hackwithinfy coding round is not fixed. It is always recommended to solve the previous year questions to get an idea of the pattern.

The course consists of 40+ previously asked questions so that you can learn and practice the coding questions.

Preparation Strategy

FOR CODING ROUND

The syllabus is not fixed for the coding round. You will not be asked questions directly from a particular topic. Mainly the questions are implementation-based. Look at Weird Elevators to get a more clear idea of the types of questions asked.

FOR INTERVIEW

Based on your performance in the Hackwithinfy coding round you will be called for either SES(Systems Engineer Specialist) or PP(Power Programmer) role.

For the interview you need to prepare the following subjects:

1 . Core CS Subjects

Computer Networking, Operating Systems, DBMS, Computer Architecture Basics and OOPS.

2.Coding

  • Dynamic Programming
  • Greedy Algorithms
  • Backtracking
  • Stack
  • Queue
  • Mapping Concepts
  • Array manipulation
  • String manipulation
  • Tree
  • Graph
  • Bit Mapping and Hashing
  • Recursion and Heap
  • Divide and Conquer

For Power Programmer(8 LPA), they ask advanced concepts like the implementation of AVL tree as compared to SES(5 LPA).

3.Prepare your Resume well and be specially prepared for questions related to your Project.
